Dr. Madhur Lata is daughter of Sh. Amba Prasad Bhatnagar, Advocate and Smt. Rajesh Kumari Bhatnagar, belonging to Peetal Nagri, Moradabad, Uttar Pradesh. She completed her Sangeet Alankar in Vocal Music and Tabla from Gandharva Maha Vidyalaya Mandal, Mumbai, M. Phil. and Ph. D. from Faculty of Music & Fine Arts, University of Delhi, Delhi. She took regular training in classical music from Pt. Jagdish Mohan Ji of Kirana Gharana, the Senior Radio & TV Artiste.
She is a Radio and TV artiste. Her compositions and songs are broadcast from All India Radio (A.I.R.) and telecast from Doordarshan.
She has performed for Sangeet Natak Akademy - Delhi, Tansen Samaroh - Gwalior, Lok Kala Manch - Delhi, Habitat World - Delhi, Banaras Hindu University, Mansingh Tomar University, Kriti Kala Sansthan - Agra, Eastern Zonal Cultural Centre - Kolkata and so on..

Many books on Music and Aesthetics are published to her credit. She is also associated with AIR, ICCR, CCRT, All India Music Composers’ Association - Mumbai.
